Mapham Yumtso Lake is located in Purang County, Ngari Prefecture of China's Xizang. As March arrives, the lake's surface remains covered with a delicate layer of crystalline ice. The surrounding mountains are cloaked in a silver-white frost, like a chilly fairyland at the edge of the world. Dancing gulls on the lake break the serene harmony of water and sky, with stirring ripples across the emerald waves.
